(Emory Wheel) (UWIRE) ATLANTA -- A panel of representatives from various careers in music spoke on breaking into the music industry on Wednesday evening.
The panel discussion, entitled "The Block: I'm a writer," which was held in the Goizueta Business School, was sponsored by The Career Center in conjunction with producer and songwriter Dallas Austin.
However, Austin, the discussion panel's primary speaker, did not attend the event due to illness.
Colin Munroe, an up-and-coming Canadian artist signed to Austin's label, Rowdy Records, said that it is difficult for debuting artists to make it into the mainstream music industry.
