Amcor Inc. introduced a new line of air purifiers recently. The Carlstadt-based manufacturer's latest machines focus on reducing airborne viruses and bacteria in the home, the company said.

The AM-3000 Virus Killer, with a suggested retail price of $380, was tested at McGill University in Montreal, where it was found to kill 90 percent of airborne germs and viruses, according to the company. It also launched air purifiers for children's rooms designed to look like a frog and a hippo. Those units will sell for $70, the company said.
