Bowling alleys used to have a sound all their own.
Balls hit the lane with a plop. They thundered down the alley with a low rummmmble. Pins cascaded in all directions with a loud bockle-bockle-bockle-bockle. And those were pretty much the only sounds you heard in a bowling alley. Except the cursing of the guy who got the gutter.
Cut to 2008. Welcome to life in the fast lane.
