NSW: Financial rescue package to ease the cost of living: Iemma

SYDNEY, April 13 AAP - A new financial rescue package is aimed at helping struggling
families cope with the rising cost of living, NSW Premier Morris Iemma says.
Mr Iemma today announced a multi-million dollar package, including an extra $1 million
for financial counsellors to offer advice, saying it would benefit up to 16,000 families.
The package also includes a 30 per cent boost to funds for families under the Mortgage
Assistance Scheme and a broadening of the eligibility criteria for the scheme.
