(Oklahoma Daily) (UWIRE) NORMAN, Okla. -- It took a natural disaster for Oklahoma City got a NBA team the first time.

Now the city faces its second chance. While outsiders may doubt Oklahoma City's ability to support a professional team, Oklahoma fans are sure to prove them wrong.

Oklahoma City - and Oklahoma in general - was doing fine with its college sports and minor league teams. I'm sure the idea has been thrown around in the back of some minds, but there had never really been legitimate talk about a professional sports franchise in Oklahoma; the only possibility that really ever stood a chance was a professional hockey team.
