SMC Networks has announced the SMCD3CM DOCSIS 3.0-based Cable Modem for High-Speed Broadband Networking and the SMCD3BCM Business- Class DOCSIS 3.0-based Cable Modem for High-Speed Broadband Networking.
Expected to be available in late May, the SMCD3CM and SMCD3BCM are currently undergoing testing by CableLabs for certification under its CableLabs Certified Cable Modem project, known as DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification), the company said.
