I am pleased to be here today as you examine the practice of direct-to-consumer
(DTC) advertising of prescription drugs, which includes a range of media,
such as television, magazines, and the Internet. The Department of Health
and Human Services` (HHS) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates
the promotion and advertising of prescription drugs, including DTC materials,
to ensure they are not false or misleading and otherwise ...
