Guizhou Province to Boost TCM Business

GUIYANG, May 14, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Southwest China's Guizhou Province, one of the nation's major traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) producers, plans to plant 133,333.33 hectares of TCM materials in 2010.

The province aims to have 10-15 varieties of biomedicine each with annual sales of over CNY 100 million in 2010, including a variety of biomedicine with annual sales of more than CNY 1 billion.

Guizhou Province has been working on shaping itself as an important TCM modernization base in West China in recent years. Thanks to the effort, its medicine sector made industry production value of CNY 11 billion in 2007, ...
