Motor: Loeb leads after first leg in Sardinia
CAGLIARI, Sardinia, May 16 Reuters - World champion Sebastien Loeb led Italy's rally
of Sardinia today after claiming three stage victories in the opening leg.
The Frenchman, criticised by rallying officials recently for his "scruffy looks", held
a comfortable 35.7-second advantage over Citroen teammate Dani Sordo of Spain.
Australian Chris Atkinson was fifth for Subaru at 1min:09secs, continuing the consistent
form which has seen him move to third in the championship standings with four top-three
finishes in the five events this year.
