Tuesday, May 20, 2008 -- State Attorney Moshe Lador told the Supreme Court on Monday that without testimony from Morris Talansky, the state may not be able to muster a case against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, whom it suspects of committing fraud, breach of faith and possibly other crimes.

For this reason, the state could not risk allowing Talansky to return to the US without holding a pre-trial hearing so that his testimony was recorded in case there was a trial, Lador explained.
