Fed: Henson supporters ask Rudd to rethink criticism
MELBOURNE, May 28 AAP - Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's criticism of controversial photographs
by artist Bill Henson were probably based on a few images he had seen on the internet,
a supporter of the artist says.
Police last week seized 20 Henson photographs of a naked girl and boy, believed to
be aged 12 and 13, from Sydney's Roslyn Oxley9 gallery.
Mr Rudd later described the images as "absolutely revolting".
Dozens of delegates to Mr Rudd's 2020 Summit yesterday signed an open letter calling
on the prime minister to rethink his criticism of Henson.
