Vic: Cafe food worker at centre of Hep A scare also works as cleaner
MELBOURNE, May 30 AAP - Health authorities have warned that customers of a Melbourne
cafe at the centre of a Hepatitis A outbreak could still be affected by the virus.
At least five customers were struck down with the bug after visiting the Zanzibar cafe,
in Melbourne's CBD, in April in an outbreak linked to a food handler who also works as
a cleaner.
Victoria's Director of Public Health Jim Hyde said today the risk of further infection
could not be ruled out, adding other people could fall ill because of the incubation of
the virus.
