Judge approves Linens' liquidation plan
CLIFTON — Linens 'n Things Inc. got permission to hire a liquidator after a joint venture won an auction by guaranteeing the bankrupt housewares retailer will collect at least $122.8 million from going-out-of-business sales.
At an auction Thursday, Tiger Capital Group LLC and SB Capital Group LLC secured the right to close 120 underperforming stores by conducting the sales. U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Christopher Sontchi approved the results Friday.
