LIEBERMAN: Good afternoon. Thanks very much for being here.
Today, Senator Collins and I are making public three draft
legislative proposals which would, if enacted, dramatically reduce the
speculation in commodities markets that we are convinced is a major cause
of the skyrocketing cost of food and fuel.
Right now, curbing such commodities market speculation may be the
best and quickest way to ease the pain consumers are feeling ...
