Vic: Taxi driver protection screens to be mandatory: Kosky
MELBOURNE, June 19 AAP - Driver safety screens will be mandatory in all Melbourne cabs
operating at night, Transport Minister Lynne Kosky has announced.
Ms Kosky told drivers at a taxi forum today the screens would be compulsory in metropolitan
and regional centres to protect drivers.
The screens must be installed by December 31 but it will be up to individual drivers
to decide if they use them on shifts.
