Qld: Taxi drivers assaulted and robbed by three passengers

BRISBANE, June 30 AAP - Two Brisbane taxi drivers have been assaulted by a group of
three men in what police have labelled a cowardly attack.

A 23-year-old taxi driver was driving the three men through Bracken Ridge in Brisbane's
north about 3.50am (AEST) yesterday when one of the trio began verbally abusing the driver,
police said.

The passenger then allegedly spat in the driver's face before punching him in the head.

The driver pulled into a service station on Telegraph Road, Bracken Ridge, where his
taxi nudged a bowser before coming to a stop.
