Firms urged to improve product designs

MALAYSIA Design Council (MRM) urges local companies to place more emphasis on improving the designs of their products, as it will help them be more competitive in the global market.
"Countries are relaying on designs to be competitive. Products are very much similar these days, the only differentiating factor is the design," MRM chairman Datuk Dr Ahmad Zainuddin told Business Times in conjunction with the Malaysia Good Design Mark 2007.
