Investors in state hit hard by tariff hike

MALACCA: The 26 per cent increase in electricity tariffs by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for commercial and industrial consumers could have a negative impact on investors in the state.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said the hike, which came into effect yesterday, was too much.
"I have yet to receive any formal complaints on the increase. But from the feedback I have received from commercial and industrial players, the 26 per cent increase is just too much to be shouldered by them," he said.
