FED: Magazine reignites pornography versus art debate

SYDNEY, July 6 AAP - A magazine's use of an image of a naked child on its cover to
protest against the treatment of artist Bill Henson has been labelled exploitative and
a political stunt.

Angered by the "hysteria" surrounding Henson's images of naked teenagers, the taxpayer
funded Art Monthly Australia magazine used a picture of a naked six-year-old girl on the
front of its July edition and more sexualised images inside, News Ltd reported.

NSW Police seized a number of Henson's works, including a picture of a naked 13-year-old
girl, from a Sydney gallery in May and considered laying charges, ...
