SYDNEY, July 8 AAP - Unilateral action by Australia, no matter how drastic, will do
nothing to slow global warming, The Australian says in its editorial today.

The great danger is that action by individual countries outside of a global agreement
creates competitive advantages for those who are not in the system, providing incentives
for countries to hold out.

"Unilateral action is most likely to result in the export of energy-intensive jobs
