For Immediate Release Grassley: Butler County Receives Extension on Disaster
Food Stamps July 3, 2008 WASHINGTON- Senator Chuck Grassley today announced
that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service has
extended disaster food stamps in Butler County for victims of severe weather.
Grassley along with Senator Tom Harkin wrote Administrator Robert Salazar
of the Food and Nutrition Service earlier urging him to grant an extension.
"This comes as welcome news to the many disaster victims in Butler County.
Residents can now concentrate on recovering from the tornados and floods
rather than worrying about where they will get their next meal," ...
