China's LCD TV Output Jumped 60.5% in Jan.-May
BEIJING, Jul 10, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's liquid crystal display (LCD) TV output totaled 8.359 million sets in the first five months of 2008, jumping 60.5% from the comparable period of the previous year and accounting for more than 25% of the country's total TV output, according to news from related regulators on July 8.
Strong demands in the domestic markets boosted the continuous growth in the output of LCD TVs. In some large-sized cities, sales volume of plat-panel TVs, particularly LCD TVs, took over 90% of the total TV sales.
