Gansu H1 GNP Up 10.1%

LANZHOU, Jul 25, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- The northwestern Chinese province of Gansu hit a GNP (gross national product) of CNY 126.957 billion in the first half of 2008, rising 10.1% year on year, Fan Huaiyu, director of the Gansu Provincial Bureau of Statistics, said at a press conference.

In the January-June period, the province's primary industry reached an added value of CNY 12.024 billion, up 4.8% year on year; its secondary industry hit CNY 68.143 billion, increased 10.1% over a year earlier; and the tertiary industry amounted to CNY 46.790 billion, leaping 11.3% compared with last year.
