Baoji Titanium H1 Net Profits Down 12.36%

BAOJI, Jul 31, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Baoji Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600456) says today that it gained net profits of CNY 212.9 million in the first half of 2008, down 12.36% year on year, hurt by stronger renminbi.

Operating revenue amounted to CNY 1.171 billion, rising 8.58% year on year. Total profits slipped 8.1% to CNY 262.91 million. Basic earnings per share stood at CNY 0.5. Besides, the company sold 4,528 tons of titanium products in the period, surging 30.98%, and it exported products worth USD 47.1 million.
