Last year for my birthday, my husband gave me "The Letters of Noel Coward." It's a fun book that gives great insight into the man and his life, but I just read in The New York Times that two of those letters are forgeries.

Lee Israel, a writer and the person who forged those letters, is so good with her fakery that two of the ones she created fooled the editor of the book and made it into the final print.

Now Israel has her own book coming out, "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" the light-hearted tale of her years of theft and forgery. ...
