Oly: Why Chinese table tennis players don't smile

BEIJING, Aug 13 AAP - Run your eye down the list of entrants for the women's table
tennis competition in Beijing, and something strikes you immediately.
Most of them are Chinese.
It doesn't matter much what country they represent, the names are predominantly Chinese,
as are the faces.
So you have Qian Lian and Wu Xue playing for the Dominican Republic, Li Qian and Xu
Jie playing for Poland, Li Qiangbing and Liu Jia representing Austria.
All three in the US team are Chinese, and indeed all three members of the Australian
team - Jian Fang Lay, Miao Miao and ...
