The fluke catch has taken center stage in the past week and some of the best fishing of the season is now taking place. Most recreational boaters are reporting a 7-to-1 throwback to keeper ratio along the oceanfront with the largest keepers around 5-6 pounds. However, pool winners on board the party boats are coming in larger in the 6-8 pound ranges on most days. Occasionally an 8-12 pound fluke will take the pool.
