John Hickson of Topsham, who has made a habit of winning tournaments around New England but only once in his home state, put himself in position to win the Charlie's Maine Open with his second straight round in the 60s Thursday at soggy and long Fox Ridge Golf Course.
Hickson, 44, is tied with Shawn Warren of Windham, 23, at 7- under 137 after 36 holes.
