VIC: Man loses arm in sawmill accident

MELBOURNE, Aug 19 AAP - A worker has lost his right arm in an accident at a Victorian sawmill.

The worker's arm was pulled out of its socket when it got caught in a machine used
for treating pine.

The accident happened at the Jelfor Treated Timber factory in Traralgon, in Victoria's
east at 7.15am (AEST) today, WorkSafe Victoria spokesman Michael Birt told AAP.

"He was flown to The Alfred hospital (in Melbourne)," Mr Birt said.
