Wre: Wrestler grabs Olympic lifeline

BEIJING, Aug 19 AAP - Another Olympic lifeline has been thrown to Ali Abdo - and, like
any wrestler, he wants to grab it with both hands.

Abdo, 27, will step out at his third Olympics for Australia when he takes on Turkey's
Ahmet Gulhan in the 74kg freestyle wrestling tomorrow at Beijing.

The elder statesman of the four-strong Australian wrestling team was initially told
he had missed out at the Olympics - and not for the first time.

Indeed Abdo has tasted the highs and lows of Australian wrestling in his 12 year senior career.
