The National Do Not Call Registry is arguably one of the nation's most successful consumer initiatives.
But even as we prepare to mark the fifth anniversary of its launch, it's encouraging to know that the program - and its sister regulation, the Telemarketing Sales Rules - is still being fine-tuned to save us from unwanted telemarketer calls.
And the success of these protections still depends on consumers being willing to make the effort to report violators.
