OCEANPORT — This was more than a warm-up race for Big Brown. This was about his legacy.
And he was a winner on both counts.
The time has come for the naysayers, including yours truly, to declare a truce. Big Brown's mysterious failure in the Belmont Stakes will always be prominent in the history books, but when the final chapter is written about the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner, it will include a lot more victories than non-wins.
