Xinwen Mining Turns to Coal Gas-to-liquids Business

TAI'AN, Sep 16, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Shandong-based Xinwen Mining Group Corporation, a state-controlled large coal complex in North China, is to set up a joint venture with Australian Linc Energy Ltd. to develop underground coal gasification and gas-to-liquid in China.

The new firm that will take shape before the end of 2008 will exploit the underground coal gasification fields to generate gas, which will be transported to Shanghai via a pipeline project under construction now.
