China's Dairy Products Companies Took a Hit on Sep. 17

SHENZHEN, Sep 19, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Most of the Chinese dairy products companies saw their shares take a nosedive on September 17, 2008, caused by the nation's tainted milk powder scandal.

Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600887) and Bright Dairy & Food Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600597) both hit daily limit-down on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Milk powder under the brand of Yingxiong produced by Bright Dairy's controlling subsidiary was found to contain melamine.
