Fed: Liquor industry changes alcopops tax hike line of attack

CANBERRA, Oct 13 AAP - The spirit industry's peak national body, the Distilled Spirits
Industry Council of Australia (DSICA, has done a backflip and now wants to suck more tax
from the proposed alcopops bill.

The liquor industry lobby group today dramatically overhauled its attack on the government's
alcopops tax hike after Family First's Steve Fielding indicated he would support the measure.

For months, the DSICA has ran with the criticism that the alcopops tax increase was
not a health measure but a tax grab.
