China 9-month TV Output Totaled 64.59mn
BEIJING, Oct 16, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's TV output amounted to 64.59 million sets in the first three quarters of 2008, a source from the China Video Industry Association, said on October 14.
Output of CRT TVs reduced 8%, or nearly 3 million sets year on year, to 34.5 million sets while output of flat-panel TVs surged 42.3%, or 8.94 million sets, to 30.09 million sets. Notably, output of flat-panel TVs in the full year is expected to reach 40 million sets, accounting for about 40% of the world's total.
