Fed: Fathers spend just over a minute a day alone with kids
A study to be released in Sydney today reveals fathers in Australia spend just over
a minute a day alone with their children during the working week.
And overall .. Australian fathers spend an average of just under an hour between Monday
and Friday caring for the children .. with 90 per cent of that care done alongside the
mother.
In her paper .. Father Care, Father Share in International Perspective .. social researcher
LYN CRAIG found Australian dads spend longer with their children at weekends as a family
.. but only six minutes alone with their children Monday to Friday.
