OCBC Bank to Expand in China

SHANGHAI, Nov 07, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. (OCBC Bank), one of the top Asian financial institutions based in Singapore, wants to further build up its presence in Mainland China, under the background of the global economic recession, said the CEO, David Conner.

The Singaporean lender established its wholly-owned subsidiary OCBC Bank (China) Ltd. in Shanghai in August 2007, and before long, the new incorporation teamed up with Bank of Ningbo (SZSE: 002142), one of China's listed city commercial lenders, to unveil the syndicated loan operation.
