China 9-month Consumer Products Retail Sales Rose 22%

BEIJING, Nov 11, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's retail sales of consumer products leaped 22% year on year in the first three quarters of 2008, up 6.1 percentage points from January-September 2007.

Deducting price factors, consumer products retail sales rose 14%, the highest since the country's reform and opening-up. Investments in fixed-assets jumped 27% mainly driven by projects under construction.

China's economic growth will still rank top in the world thanks to stable increase in investments and consumption, forecasted the International Monetary Fund.
