China Consumer Products Total Retail Sales Rose 22% in Oct.
BEIJING, Nov 13, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- China's retail sales of consumer products totaled CNY 1.0083 trillion in October 2008, rising 22% over the period last year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
Retail sales in urban areas and county & below-country level respectively jumped 22.1% and 21.9% year on year to CNY 683.3 billion and CNY 324.9 billion.
As for different industries, retail sales of wholesale and retail sectors reached CNY 841.1 billion, with a 21.9% rise year on year, that of hotel and catering sectors amounted to CNY 147.3 billion, with a 25.8% growth year on year, ...
