Barclays Capital: China 09 Economic Growth to Hit 8.5%
BEIJING, Nov 20, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Barclays Capital, one of the world-known investment banks, yesterday forecasted that China's economic growth for the entire 2008 and 2009 would reach 9.7% and 8.5%, respectively.
This figure will just stand at 6% and the unemployment rate is likely to increase considerably, if the Chinese government does not bring forward the financial stimulation plan and further loosen the monetary policy.
