Qld: Qld storms to cost hundreds of millions of dollars: Bligh

BRISBANE, Nov 21 AAP - Three storms in less than a week in Queensland have caused damage
amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars, and more violent weather is on the way,
says Premier Anna Bligh.

Blackwater, a mining town in central Queensland, is the latest area to be hit hard
by massive storms sweeping the state, blacking out properties and causing widespread damage
and flooding.

Ms Bligh says emergency services have done a great job, but the state needs to brace
for more damage with further storms predicted on the weekend.
