NATIONAL No 1 Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and Zakry Latif- Fairuzizuan Tazari slugged their way into the quarter-finals alongside women's doubles Wong Pei Tty-Chin Eei Hui in the Hong Kong Open yesterday.

Kien Keat-Boon Heong were expected to cruise past England's Robert Blair-Chris Adcock but were made to struggle before winning 18-21, 21-19, 21-16 in 46 minutes.
