GE Develops China's Biggest Desiel Locomotive

CHANGZHOU, Nov 28, 2008 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The CSR Qishuyan Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works lately rolled out China's biggest internal combustion locomotive, and before long, it will start operation on the railway linking Harbin and Qiqihar, Northeast China.

With the maximum power of around 459KW, this new locomotive will mainly serve the cargo transport, and it is capable of dragging 240 Boeing747 airplanes.
