Linens leaves ripple of concern -- Bankrupt retailer preparing to vacate its Clifton HQ

As Linens 'n Things Inc. disappears from strip malls around the country, the bankrupt home-furnishings merchant is preparing to leave its home in Clifton.
The retailer's landlord, developer Fred Daibes, expects Linens to vacate the space it leases at his three-building office park on Brighton Road early next year.
Linens is Daibes' only tenant at the 175,000-square-foot office complex, he said. The retailer subleases space to smaller businesses.
