Galanz Cut Air Conditioner Prices

GUANGZHOU, Dec 12, 2008 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Galanz Group recently cut prices of its air conditioners because of declining raw material prices.

The copper price slumped to CNY 27,000 per ton from CNY 70,000 per ton in March and hence drove costs of 1P and 2P air conditioners to decrease CNY150-200 and CNY 350-400 or so, noted an executive from the company.

Apart from Galanz, other air conditioner manufacturers, like Changhong, Hisense Kelon, and Chigo, also declared to slash prices. Prices of some air conditioners even hit the record low of CNY 999.
