Bob Mulcahy walked onto the basketball court, slowing as a standing ovation immediately and thunderously broke out.
The entire lower bowl of one side of the Rutgers Athletic Center was packed, as coaches, administrators, student-athletes and even athletic facility custodians gathered for an official farewell from the deposed athletic director.
