BCorp net profit plunges 90pc in Q2

BERJAYA Corp Bhd (BCorp), a diversified group, said its second quarter net profit plunged 90 per cent due to the lack of one-off gains, foreign exchange losses and the lower value of its investments.
The group, which has interests in gaming, property, stockbroking and insurance, said the prevailing global economic conditions may affect its performance in the remaining quarters of the current year ending April 30, 2009.
