China's Air Conditioner Makers to Undergo Tough Time in 09

BEIJING, Dec 29, 2008 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- China's air conditioner producers are likely to face a tough time next year, when a lingering financial crisis cuts into the country's air conditioner industry.

Domestic air conditioner makers sold 2.58 million household air conditioners in November 2008, dropping 32% year on year. Sales volume in China slipped 24% from a year earlier and volume in overseas markets tumbled 40.9%, according to the latest report unveiled by Chinaiol.com, a leading air conditioner market researcher in China.
