Jan-Nov New Institutional Fund Accounts Fell 54%

BEIJING, Dec 30, 2008 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- As many as 2,470 institutional investors opened fund accounts from January to November, plunging 54% from 5,418 in the period a year earlier, according to a report by China Securities Depository and Clearing Corp., Ltd.

By the end of November, there had been 24,142 institutional fund investors in the country. 449 institutional investors opened fund accounts in March and 134 in June, the most monthly amount and the least monthly amount in 2008.
